International Choir Festival Cantate Toscana
The International Choir Festival Cantate Toscana will undoubtedly take place in the best season to take a trip to Tuscany. You can visit Florence and Siena, the most beautiful cities of Tuscany. You will make new friends with local choirs and other foreign choirs, exchange music and learn about different cultures.
The friendship concerts take place on Friday afternoon or evening in a Church in the city centre of Siena or in a concert hall in Siena and surroundings hosted by a local choir. At a friendship concert choirs will come together with a local choir. After the concert the choirs will drink a glass of local wine from Tuscany together and end the evening in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere.
The festival ends on Saturday afternoon with the final concert in a concert hall or in a church in the city centre of Florence with all participants. Each choir presents two songs of his choice and at the end all choirs will sing a final song together.
Music is culture! And Tuscany is rich in these ingredients. The care of the music culture would not only contribute to the growth of our artistic heritage, but also contribute to the construction of the social fabric of connections and experiences of socialization. Tuscany is the perfect setting for the International Choir Festival Cantate Toscana. The singing of your songs will be the symbol of a universal language without borders!
Day 1
Arrival in late afternoon to the hotel in Poggibonsi. (40 km south from Florence, 30 km north from Siena)Check-in.
Dinner at hotel. After diner – free time.
Day 2
Breakfast in hotel; departure for the guided tour of Siena, ca. 2 hours without entrance fees.
Lunch in a restaurant in the city centre of Siena.
Afternoon or evening friendship concert in a church in the city centre of Siena or in a concert hall in the surroundings of Siena hosted by a local tuscan choir.
After the concert toast with a glass of typical Tuscan wine & transfer back to the hotel.
Day 3
Breakfast in hotel.
Departure for the guided tour of Florence, ca. 2 ½ hours without entrance fees.
Lunch in a restaurant in the city centre of Florence.
Late in the afternoon transfer to the concert hall or the church in the city centre of Florence for the Final Concert where all participating choirs will meet.
After the concert, refreshments and tuscan wine.
Then transfer back to the hotel.
Day 4
Breakfast in hotel and check-out.
Departure of the journey back home or transfer to the chuch for the mass service.
- 3 nights in a hotel in Poggibonsi. Double, triple or single room with shower and bathroom.

- 1 x meal in Florence – three course menu (drink included)
- 1 x food in Siena – three course menu (drink included)
- Organization of the two concerts (friendly and final)
- 1 x local guide in Florence, in English, not including tickets, lasting two and a half hours
- 1 x local guide in Siena, in English, not including tickets, lasting two hours.
- Snack with wine and cake at the end of the two concerts.
- Assistance in English in both concerts. No assistance at the start / end of the trip.
- Rent a room at the hotel to rehearse before each concert.
- Advertising and concert posters.
