Advent in Salzburg

This is a non-competitive choral festival in the charming city of Salzburg, open to all choirs. The city of Mozart becomes a big stage with more than 4000 cultural and musical events a year, including the renowned Advent in Salzburg Choir Festival. Salzburg is rich in art, history, and tradition, offering an ideal backdrop for musical celebrations. The place itself invites to song and dance, resonating with the spirit of the Advent in Salzburg festival. This is a city with a rich and glorious past and a vibrant present, making it a place worth visiting often… because … once is not enough!

The festival takes place over three intensive days during which choirs will have a scheduled performance, a friendship concert with other local choirs, and a final concert, all part of the festivities of Advent in Salzburg. In addition, time permitting, arrangements can be made to sing during a mass service on Sunday morning, adding to the immersive experience of the event.

Friday:

Arrival in the hotel at about 14h and check-in.
In the afternoon concert at the Christmas Market in front of the Cathedral or the Castle Hellbrunn.
Drive back to the hotel after th concert.
Dinner at the hotel. Overnight.

Saturday:

Breakfast in the hotel.
Meet the local guide and enjoy a guided tour (about 2 hours, by feet, without entrance fees).
Free for lunch in the historical center of Salzburg.
After lunch break drive back to the hotel and prepare for the friendship concert, which will be in Salzburg or surroundings.
After the concert enjoy a glass of mulled vine with the other choirs. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight.

Sunday:

Breakfast at hotel. Check-out and departure.
