Cantate Adriatica

Day 1: Check in the hotel in San Marino, Rimini or Riccione. The programme coordinator will offer you a welcome drink and give you general information. Dinner at the Hotel. The evening is free.

Day 2: Breakfast in hotel. Depart for San Marino, the oldest republic in the world. In the morning a walking tour of the streets and the walls of the medieval town (approximately 1 hour without entrance fees). Unforgettable is the visit of the 3 towers, as represented in the flag’s emblem, with their beautiful view. After this, tour departure for the official opening of the festival, with a welcoming glass of wine and refreshments. Afternoon is free for individual activities. In the late afternoon rehearsal in the hotel. Dinner at hotel and departure for the friendship concert.

Day 3: Breakfast in hotel. Morning is free at disposal or take part in some optional excursion, f.e. to Gradara, San Leo or a panorama boat trip along the coast. Lunch on your own. Afternoon preparation for the concert and rehearsal in the hotel. Departure for the final concert in San Marino to the “Teatro Titano”. After the concert transfer to the restaurant for the farewell dinner together with all other participating choirs.

Day 4: Breakfast at the hotel and return home or transfer to the churc for musical accompaniment of the churc service. After the service, departure for home.

FESTIVAL OPENING

The festival will officially open on Friday around midday in a vineyard or in a hotel in Riccione or San Marino, with an aperitif and refreshments. During this event participating choirs and directors will be introduced. Possibility for an informal singing!

FRIENDSHIP CONCERTS

Friendship concerts will be held in San Marino and in typical places on the coast and inland in neighboring regions of Romagna and Marche in theatres, concert halls or churches together with 3 or 4 choirs of different nationalities.

Date: Friday 14th may 2021
Duration: max. 25 minutes per choir
Repertoire: optional, national songs are welcome
Rehearsal: in hotel or in performance venue after agreement
Presentation: in Italian
Bus Parking: near the performance venue
Pianoforte: or e-piano at disposal

FAREWELL DINNER

Final concert of all participating choirs will take place in a Theatre of San Marino.

Date: Saturday 15th may 2021
Duration: each choir presents one song of their choice. The finale of the concert will be the common song “Va pensiero” di G. Verdi performed by all choirs
Rehearsal: in hotel
Presentation: Italian and English
Parking: it is possible to alight and board outside of the theatre. During the concerts buses will park in a reserved parking zone
Pianoforte: at disposal

CHURCH SERVICE ACCOMPANIMENT

Church service accompaniment is possible in churches in San Marino or surroundings.

Date: possible only Sunday morning or evening (24th may 2020)

Repertoire: must be submitted and approved by the priest
